St. Raphael is one of the lesser known of the archangels mentioned in the scriptures where, in the Christian faith, he is found only in the Book of Tobit. This inspirational statue comes from the Veronese Collection of Goldscheider of Austria and is made with the sturdy and durable cold cast bronze method. The statue stands 9 inches tall and is finished with hand painting which adds just a touch of color to his figure. Raphael is said to be the archangel of healing so is thought to be the angel mentioned in the Gospel of John who stirs the pool of healing waters at Bethesda.
