Product Details
This inspirational crucifix has added embellishments which make it unique looking. The crucifix is made of rosewood so has a subtle warm red tinge and measures 11 inches high. This is a nice size to hang in just about any room where you would choose to display the crucifix. The silverplated corpus and INRI plaque are attached to the cross and stand out and contrast nicely with the rosewood color. The three upper arms of the cross are embellished and engraved with the initials IHS which is a monogram that combines the first three letters of the Greek word for the name of Jesus.
The foot of the cross has an engraved abstract design, and all the engraving is done in fine black lettering which is visible and attractive but not overwhelming. A halo behind the head of Christ has an openwork design which presents an image of a cross in the halo. Lovely, beveled edges testify to the craftsmanship of the maker and give a layered and appealing look to the crucifix.
